Diving

We work together with a good equipped dive center also located at Pangalisang Beach. Small groups, experienced local dive guides, good maintained equipment and relaxed diving. Padi courses are also offered.

Most of the dive sites are only a small boat trip away and Siladen or the coast of the mainland are visited also often for a dive. The helpful guides will make your diving experience unforgettable.

Snorkeling

The SeaGarden Resort is perfect for snorkeling. The top op the Bunaken Timur reef in front is one of the best snorkel spots of the Bunaken National Marine park. You will be amazed by its beauty.

Snorkeling tours to the other spots of Bunaken and Siladen are often organised, sometimes combined with a dolphin tour or a lunch at a nice beach. Mask, fins and snorkel can be rented at the resort.

The Marine Park

Oceanic currents explain, in part, why Bunaken National Marine Park has such a high level of corals, fish, echinoderms or sponges, 7 of the 8 species of giant clams that occur in the world, occur in Bunaken and 70% of all fish species known to the Indo-western Pacific.  The waters are up to 1,566 m deep with temperatures ranging between 27 to 29 °C.  The Park is one of Indonesia's most famous diving and snorkeling areas and it draws visitors from all over the world.

Snorkeling and Diving Guidelines
Do not touch living marine wildlife, such as coral, animals, etc.

Do not collect souvenirs (shells, coral, etc.).

Do not stand or rest on coral reefs.

Never harass aquatic animals for your own amusement.

Always be aware of your position in the water and that of your dive gear, in relation to marine animals and the coral reef.

Remember to dive safely, both in terms of your health and that of the marine environment.

Review and update diving skills such as buoyancy control, finning and positioning.

Do not feed marine animals.
